the nostalgia of film

Film remembers the world in ways that digital photography, and even our eyes, cannot. Each frame of film reacts uniquely to light, chemistry, and time, creating textures and tonal nuances that feel alive, not rendered. Where digital smooths and corrects, film translates the world into something poetic.

It remembers the world not as data, but as emotion imprinted in silver and grain — a reminder that memory itself is imperfect, beautiful, and worth preserving.

This is why we shoot at least one roll of film at all weddings. We value the mediums of the past as a way to preserve the present, for the future generations.

Frequently asked questions

Why Shoot Film?

I've always loved looking through old family photo albums. There's something special about seeing moments from years ago, even ones you weren't there for, and feeling like you get to experience a little piece of them.

That's what I love about film. The grain, the colors, and even the imperfections give each photograph a character that digital just can't quite replicate. There's a nostalgia to it that makes even the simplest moments feel special.

I don't photograph weddings on film because I want them to look like they happened decades ago. I do it because I want you to have photographs that you'll love looking back on decades from now, and hopefully one day, your children and grandchildren will too.

SOME MOMENTS DESERVE TO LIVE ON FILM

Whether you're planning a wedding or celebrating a chapter of your story, I'd love to preserve it in a way that feels as meaningful years from now as it does today.
