Infinity & Ovation Yacht Charters Wedding
Nick + Danielle
Nick and Danielle’s mid-summer wedding at the Infinity & Ovation Yacht Charter was so full of life and energy. Their day began at the Godfrey Hotel in Downtown Detroit, where they got ready one room apart from each other with their closest friends. We held their first look on gorgeous upper level of the hotel with checkered flooring. Then, we traversed over to the Yacht Charter for their outdoor ceremony overlooking the water.
GETTING READY AT THE GODFREY HOTEL
A favorite moment from capturing the couple getting ready was walking into Nick’s hotel room and seeing him and his groomsmen watching a YouTube video learning how to lace their dress shoes. It was such a light-hearted humorous moment that they’ll always remember.
COASTAL INSPIRED wedding ceremony
The couple held their ceremony at the Infinity and Ovation’s on-site ceremony space. They had blue and green florals, with navy blue drapery, which paired beautifully against the water backdrop. They had a live pianist for their ceremony as well, which added to the breezy, romantic atmosphere.
After the ceremony, we went to the pergola to sign their marriage license, but Nick and his groomsmen had other plans! They hoisted him up on their shoulders to celebrate their friend finally being married.

After Nick and Danielle’s ceremony, we boarded the yacht and captured very coastal-inspired portraits of the newly-weds. The weather was absolutely perfect — high 70s with a warm breeze. The turquoise waters made their portraits really pop.

When it came time to get up and celebrate, their guests did not disappoint! Everyone was up and moving their feet. Naturally, a conga line formed and wrapped around the upper deck many times. Nick and Danielle were invited into the Captain’s room to overlook the water and capture a few portraits together here, but we quickly returned to the action. That is what it’s all about — being with all of your friends and family in one place, creating lasting memories and fully experiencing your day.
When the boat docked back at the harbor, the newly-weds enjoyed a private last dance together to end their wedding day in an intimate, memorable way.
